WAFF subsidies

The Vienna Employment Promotion Fund (waff) offers free career and further education counselling and assistance. Berlitz is a WAFF recognised educational institution.

Here are some of the subsidies offered by WAFF:

Continuing edcation:

The WAFF "Continuing Education Account" serves to support continuing education and vocational training for the jobless and employed in Vienna who attend programmes offered by WAFF recognised educational institutions.
Employed persons receive: 50% of the course fee up to €200. Jobless persons (or persons on parental leave, on social assistance: 50% of the course fee up to €300.

Bildungsbonus:

The Education Bonus is a new program WAFF is offering to applicants with a completed apprenticeship. Grants are available for continuing vocational education and training at institutions recognised by WAFF. It is similar to the Education Account. Apply to WAFF for a maximum grant of €200.

The WAFF Educational Bonus and Education Account may be held concurrently!

PISA PLUS

PISA PLUS is a WAFF support program for employed persons in need of high-quality continuing education or training essential to their career development. Two of the most important programs are:

• Refunds of 70% or 90% respectively of the course fees up to a maximum of €1 100,00 for applicants with completed apprenticeships or completed three-year VET schooling, or those with qualifications aquired abroad which cannot be employed in Austria

• Refunds of 70% of course fees up to a maximum of €1 100 for employed applicants over the age of 40.

FRECH - Frauen ergreifen Chancen ("Women seize opportunities")

FRECH is a special program for working women looking for a fundamental career change.
If the highest level of education you have attained is a three-year VET school or an apprenticeship, WAFF may provide a grant of up to €3 700 or 90% of course fees for essential continuing education as defined in the educational plan.  FRECH advisors will gladly provide information about other prerequisites for your grant. NOVA

NOVA is a special program supporting working men  and women before, during and after the birth of a child (or on nursing leave). Waff will assist you to avoid any career disadvantages due to the birth of your child.
